NOTES

Capitol T-1916 / ST-1916 was reviewed in the June 22, 1963 issue of Billboard magazine. That’s why I think it must have been released in June, 1963.
According to Jim Marshall’s Jo Stafford Discography, ‘He Bought My Soul At Calvary’ and  ‘Nearer My God To Thee’ were recorded on September 8, 1963. As the album was released in June, a recording date in September cannot be correct. I am almost certain that both these tracks were recorded at the 8th of April, just like four of the other tracks. That would make six recordings on Monday 8, 1963, and six on Tuesday the 9th. (In a handwritten note, 8.4.63 can easily be read as 8.9.63 – that might explain the error.)
