NOTE

Between 1953 and 1956, Columbia Records used to produce EP versions of their albums, in order to serve the fans who did not own the equipment to play 33 rpm LP’s. They seem to have stopped doing this by 1957: neither ‘Jo Stafford Sings Songs of Scotland’, released in October, nor ‘Once Over Lightly’ was available on EP’s. From ‘Once Over Lightly’, only this selection of four songs was issued for fans who preferred the 45 rpm format.
The first mentioning of this EP I found was in the August 17, 1957 edition of the Ithaca Journal (Ithaca, New York).
This could mean that it was issued in July or August. Do you have more exact information about the date of issue?
