NOTES

The title of the Jo Stafford track on this V-Disc is usually spelled ‘Carry Me Back To Old Virginny’, but
‘Carry Me Back To Old Virginia’ is the spelling used on the disc’s label.

According to the Discography for CD B in the JSP CD Box ‘Jo Stafford – 108 Classic Sides from a great American hitmaker’, the track was ‘recorded at rehearsals for Johnny Mercer’s Music Shop’. Actually, the name of this radio program was ‘The Chesterfield Music Shop’. ‘Johnny Mercer’s Music Shop’ was the name of the program when it was rebroadcast by the American Forces Radio Service (source: www.radiogoldindex.com).
