Note
We know that ‘Star Of Love’, ‘Echoes In The Night’ and ‘Beyond The Stars’ were recorded in Los Angeles. Not only is this fact mentioned in the discography of the 4-CD Set ‘Beyond The Stars’ (JSP Records JSP964, 2010) – it is also indicated by the matrix numbers of these tracks. However… according to Professor Nigel Simeone, Jo Stafford recorded ‘One’ on August 19, 1957 in New York (http://www.musicalcriticism.com/news/wss-0110.shtml). Is Prof. Simeone wrong there? Or did Ms Stafford actually fly from LA to New York, or vice versa, and was she in the recording studio in both cities that day? It seems very unlikely… Could you tell more about this enigma?
